If you are looking to get involved in an environmental nonprofit, build your resume and give back to your community, apply to be an I Love A Clean San Diego volunteer intern! ILACSD recruits interns each semester to shadow our staff at various cleanups, community events and assist with office and marketing tasks.

Available internship positions:


ILACSD seeks a self-motivated, outgoing individual team player to support ILACSD’s community outreach efforts. This position reports directly to the Community Program Manager.

Type of Employment: Unpaid Internship
Internship Dates: Ongoing
Time Commitment: Varies; must have availability for weekend events

General Duties Include:

  • Attend community outreach booths and cleanups throughout San Diego County
  • Market and promote ILACSD’s upcoming events and ongoing programs
  • Assist with coordination of upcoming events
  • Write blog content concerning internship experience
  • Maintain a professional and accurate representation of ILACSD
  • Position Requirements:

  • Effective communication skills for diverse audiences
  • Commitment to working in a team environment
  • Knowledge of environmental challenges facing San Diego County
  • Reliable transportation and weekend availability
