Location:  Azalea Park 2596 Violet St. San DiegoCA 92105 

Location Description: Meet at the corner of Violet and Poplar Street near the Azalea Park Water Conservation Garden.

What: Volunteers of all ages are invited to participate in a litter cleanup, native planting, invasive species removal, and additional beautification service projects.

About the Event

I Love A Clean San Diego in partnership with Keep American Beautiful and Clean CA, is excited to host its first transformational community event!

The event aims to mobilize volunteers to restore a community space, enhance accessibility and education at the Azalea Park Water Conservation Garden, and clean up litter in Azalea Park and adjacent streets in the City Heights neighborhood.

Volunteer Service Projects:

  • Litter Cleanup: Litter abatement projects will take place in the park, open space, and surrounding streets in the neighborhood.
  • Green/beautification: Removal of invasive species, planting native species in the Water Conservation Garden, and educational signage installation.
  • Park Amenity Beautification: Repainting and enhancing park structures including tables and benches, and the nearby Recreation Center.
