Clean Parks for a Clean Coast

We’re excited to add Howard Lane Park to over 110 Adopt-A-Beach/Canyon sites throughout San Diego County this month. To celebrate, join us in revitalizing the park on December 10. We need volunteers to help paint playground equipment, plant trees and stencil nearby storm drains. Join us to spruce up Howard Lane Park at our last public cleanup of the year!

San Ysidro will have two new parks for the Adopt-A-Beach/Canyon program that volunteers can choose from come December: Howard Lane Park and Larsen Field Park. Volunteers will assist in various beautification projects throughout the park like planting, mulching, graffiti removal, weeding, storm drain stenciling and litter pickup. Volunteers will have the opportunity to begin the Adopt-A-Beach/Canyon program that day with the cleanup counting towards the program. We are beyond excited to have San Ysidro involved and we want to show our support with a great cleanup event.

All participants will need a waiver form and any under the age of 18 will need a parent/guardian signature on their waiver forms. As always, we encourage the use of reusable items- like a water bottle, work gloves or bucket- to help create a zero-waste event.
