Earth Fair Balboa Park VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Zero Waste San Diego is searching for dedicated volunteers for Earth Fair 2017 on April 23, 10am to 5pm in Balboa Park

Duties include:

• Staffing the Zero Waste San Diego booth
• Educating the public on Zero Waste
• Assisting with vendor relations
• Setup of the Zero Waste Stations throughout Balboa Park during the event
• “Trash Talking” (staffing the Zero Waste Stations and educating the public on proper source separation)
• General assistance (relieving and assisting other volunteers, or any other help needed during this action—packed event)

To volunteer, go to the San Diego Earthworks website (http://www.earthdayweb.org/EarthFair.html) and click on the “Volunteering” tab.

Then click the “Earth Fair 2017 – April 23” link.

Read the information and plan to attend one of the volunteer training (unless you have volunteered within the past five years).

Under “Exhibit Area Management,” click on “Zero Waste Team.”

Choose a shift.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the “Click here to get to the registration system” link.

If you are a former volunteer, sign in and fill out the appropriate forms. If you are a first-time volunteer, register, and then fill out the information.
