Join us at Alga Norte Community Park (6565 Alicante Rd.) on Saturday, April 29 at 10 a.m. for our free Simple Swaps – Sustainable Alternatives to Single-Use Plastic workshop!
During the one-hour workshop, you’ll learn:
- How to properly recycle or dispose of plastic waste
- What happens to plastic after we throw it in the trash
- About the City of Carlsbad’s upcoming local ordinances banning single-use plastics
- Zero waste product swaps for single-use items inside and outside the home
- How to make a reusable shopping bag out of an upcycled shirt
- Why it’s so important for our health and the health of the environment to reduce plastic usage
