Trash or Treat Cleanup

Join ILACSD to celebrate Halloween with a cleanup in City Heights! Cigarette butts are some of the scariest litter in our neighborhoods, so join us on October 14, 2017, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM to clean cigarette butts from our streets! Volunteers will meet in the Wilson Middle School parking lot near 3750 Orange Ave, San Diego, CA 92105, and walk the surrounding neighborhoods to collect cigarette butts and other litter in City Heights.
We encourage volunteers to wear Halloween costumes – the volunteers who wear the best costume and collect the most cigarette litter win prizes! You can also check out our new Cigarette Litter Prevention billboards on University Avenue. As always we encourage our volunteers to bring reusable items like a water bottle, work gloves, or a bucket!
