Beautify Chula Vista Day

October 20, 2018 @ 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

Beautify Chula Vista Day is a dynamic community cleanup event organized by I Love A Clean San Diego and the City of Chula Vista, and made strong by thousands of enthusiastic volunteers. Now celebrating its 16th year in 2018, this event has made an extensive impact on the City of Chula Vista as a whole, having reached over 12 focus areas with plans to continue on its path to make a difference for the future. Each year continues to be successful with the help of our dedicated volunteers who continue to beautify Chula Vista, one project at a time!

Last year, 454 volunteers came out to help remove an estimated 2,000 lbs of debris! Volunteers also painted out the graffiti, planted hundreds of plants, and removed litter throughout neighborhoods and canyons. Help us make a big difference this year!

Join us on Saturday, October 20th from 8:30 AM – 12:00 PM at one of the following four locations:

Memorial Park
373 Park Way, Chula Vista, CA 91910

Otay Valley Regional Park

1795 Rios Avenue, Chula Vista, CA 91911

(Meet at Clear View Elementary School)
455 Windrose Way, Chula Vista, CA 91910

Chula Vista Community Park

Volunteers will participate in beautification projects like litter abatement, planting, mulching, graffiti removal, sign installation, invasive vegetation removal, and painting. See the website for site specific details. More information about the event can be found at BeautifyChulaVista.org.

Waiver forms are available online or at the cleanup site. All volunteers are required to fill out a waiver form to participate, and anyone under the age of 18 needs a parent or guardian signature. Signed forms will be made available to volunteers who need verification of service hours. We will have all supplies needed at the cleanup site, but we encourage volunteers to bring their own reusable items (water bottles, work gloves, and buckets) if they have them to promote zero waste practices!
