It is so important to stay safe and avoid group-gatherings right now, so we are turning these cleanups away from public places and towards a neighborhood-scale! Have you noticed any areas near your home that need a pick-me-up? Please join us in protecting the environment as well as ourselves, and “walk-your-block” in your neighborhood Saturday morning.

Get your family 6-ft apart – together – for a cleanup down the street! Invite your neighbors and practice social distancing. Bring a bucket or bag from home, grab some kitchen or gardening gloves, and don’t forget your face-covering. You can make this cleanup truly zero-waste by using your own reusable supplies!

Kick-off at 9am with our included video introduction, then get out there to beautify your TJRV-adjacent neighborhood! We’ll make it a breeze to sort what you collect and dispose of it in your correct residential bins. After your cleanup report your totals in our Volunteer Impact map to track our accomplishments!

DISCLAIMER: By participating in a cleanup, you agree I Love A Clean San Diego is NOT responsible for any injury suffered and you waive any claim arising from participation in the event. I agree to read and follow all of the safety protocols for this event.

Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. Day by giving back to your community! Join I Love A Clean San Diego, SDG&E, and the City of Imperial Beach Government for our Clean Cities Initiative Cleanup at the beloved Rose Teeple Park. We will pick up litter from around the neighborhood to beautify the local community!

With the help of over 430 volunteers last year, we removed more than 500 pounds of trash and recyclables from the local environment! Help us increase our impact by volunteering and bringing a friend, and celebrate after the cleanup with $5 beers at Mike Hess Brewing on Seacoast Drive!

I Love A Clean San Diego will bring cleanup supplies and explain the impact of this cleanup on our watershed, as well as verify community service hours. This is a great opportunity to learn ways to protect our local environment!

We encourage volunteers to bring your own reusable items such as water bottles, work gloves, and buckets to help us in our mission to have a zero waste, litter free and environmentally engaged San Diego region!

All volunteers are required to fill out a waiver form to participate and anyone under the age of 18 needs a waiver signed by their parent or guardian.

Imperial Beach Community Cleanup

We have a dream, that one day the litter on our streets won’t make it out to our oceans. Join us on Martin Luther King Jr. Day to help the community park in Imperial Beach!

ILACSD and the Imperial Beach City Council are hosting a community cleanup at Rose Teeple Memorial Park on January 16th, 2017 from 10AM-12PM. Volunteers will be able to connect with their local city councilmembers and help remove litter and debris from the surrounding area. All ages are welcome to help us bring in the New Year with a positive impact!

This cleanup will be a zero waste cleanup, where we will use buckets and reusable gloves to create less waste in our efforts to clean the neighborhood. We encourage volunteers to bring any reusable items they own – water bottles, work gloves, buckets – to help make a difference.
