Seaside Sustainability Workshop Carlsbad

Join I Love A Clean San Diego as we team up with the City of Carlsbad for our FREE Seaside Sustainability Workshop on Saturday, November 16, 2019 from 10AM-12PM at the Pine Avenue Recreation Center. Whether you’re starting your zero waste journey or ready to take it to the next level, come learn how to set yourself up for zero waste success!

Through educational booths and hands-on activities, you will learn ways to go zero waste in the kitchen and bathroom, and common areas throughout the home. We will discuss the importance of a zero waste lifestyle and how to confidently implement sustainable practices into various aspects of your life.

Hands-on activities will be available for all ages, including an eco-kid’s craft and a make-and-take project!

In addition, attendees can bring in gently used items you were planning to donate and participate in the Swap ‘n’ Shop! Some example items that have been brought to past workshops include clothes, nail polish, stereos, pet supplies, books, CD’s, picture frames, kitchenware, Halloween costumes, etc.

Join I Love A Clean San Diego on Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm for our Green Business Solutions Workshop, sponsored by Wells Fargo. This interactive evening will focus on practical solutions to your business’ sustainability challenges! The workshop will be held at the Hoffman Room of the San Diego Foundation.

We will identify the importance of a zero waste lifestyle, how to implement these practices into your business, and the environmental and economic benefits of going green. Whether you work in an office, a restaurant, or in retail, we will have valuable information for all business models! This is a great opportunity for you to network and share ideas for creating a more eco-conscious work space.

Save Your Scraps! Workshop

Join ILACSD as we team up with the City of Vista to bring you Save Your Scraps, an interactive workshop focused on zero waste and organics! Come learn what it means to live a zero waste life and more specifically, how to keep organic waste out of the landfill by shopping smart, storing food properly, and composting your scraps! Join us for this fun, informative workshop and participate in one of the hands-on activities including a ‘make and take’ project and an eco-friendly kids’ craft.

Chula Vista Organics Workshop

Join ILACSD as we team up with the City of Chula Vista to bring you an organics workshop! On Saturday, March 16, 2019, we will be hosting the Save Your Scraps Workshop from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM at Novo Brazil Brewery! The workshop is complimentary and open to the public.

Learn how to keep organics out of the landfill by shopping smart, storing food properly, and composting your scraps. We’ll also cover water conservation tools, such as ocean-friendly gardens and laundry-to-landscape systems. Join us for this fun, informative workshop and participate in one of the hands-on activities including a ‘make and take’ project and an eco-friendly kids’ craft. Seaside Sustainability: Ditching Disposables

Join ILACSD as we team up with the City of Carlsbad once again to bring you Seaside Sustainability: Ditching Disposables on Wednesday, November 28th from 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM at the State Street Farmers Market in Carlsbad Village located on State Street between Carlsbad Village Drive and Grand Avenue! We are excited to help spread the word about sustainable practices and make it easier for residents to implement these actions in their everyday lives.

 

ILACSD will be talking with community members about minimizing their consumption of single-use plastics, reducing food waste, and building sustainable habits. Stop by our booth to pick up a FREE set of bamboo utensils or a stainless steel straw! Put your knowledge into action by utilizing your new reusable utensils while enjoying a bite to eat from one of the Farmers Market vendors!
